GM attends LOPEC 2024, exhibition for printed electronics
Each year, LOPEC (Large-area, Organic and Printed Electronics Convention) brings together developers, manufacturers, researchers, and visitors from across the world at Messe München exhibition center. The 2023 edition welcomed more than 2,400 visitors and 168 exhibitors, making the event a great success as the main platform for printed electronics.
Returning as an exhibitor, GM Functionals will be on hand to discuss its innovative equipment for manufacturing high-quality printed electronics. The Danish company is leveraging its 40+ years of expertise in developing converting technology for printed labels and flexible packaging to offer a full range of advanced equipment for coating and curing functional materials. Each platform can be built to suit lab use, pilot projects, or full-scale production scenarios, meaning GM can support customers throughout the whole process.

Among the solutions in focus will be the FlexiCoat roll-to-roll platform, where every module is fully integrated and operates as one seamless workflow. The modular and multifunctional device is equally adept in both research and manufacturing settings, serving as the perfect bridge between laboratory experimentation and factory operations. Every system, including each component, is built at the company’s facility in Denmark to fit the exact requirements, giving customers a great competitive advantage in the realm of functional materials.
With digital control of all main functions, such as slot-die position (with 1-micron accuracy), embedded ink delivery system, temperature regulation, accurate tension, and speed, the FlexiCoat offers full oversight of the entire coating process. It can be combined with an optional inline inspection system and digital data export giving real-time feedback and full transparency when changing production parameters. This feature also enables comprehensive documentation of quality standards.
