At GM Functionals, we see successful industrial implementation not as a result of technology alone, but as the outcome of aligning scientific understanding, process engineering, and commercial objectives from the very beginning.

As we continue to develop this approach, we are strengthening the scientific dimension of our organization with the formal appointment of a Chief Scientist.

In this role, César Omar Ramírez Quiroz, Ph.D., will focus on guiding scientific direction, supporting technology decisions, and ensuring that process development and system architecture are grounded in robust scientific validation — from early-stage feasibility through to scalable production.

About Cesar

Dr. César Omar Ramírez Quiroz is a deep-tech innovation leader operating at the intersection of advanced materials, process engineering, and scalable manufacturing.

As Chief Scientist at GM Functionals, he defines the scientific direction and domain focus, guiding critical technology decisions and ensuring that process development is grounded in robust scientific validation, from early feasibility to industrial scale-up.
His work centers on aligning scientific understanding, engineering execution, and commercial objectives to enable confident decision-making and reliable implementation.

He has co-authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in collaboration with leading global academic institutions and industrial partners, contributing to the advancement and industrialization of next-generation materials and manufacturing approaches. He is also the inventor of a patented process concept enabling scalable manufacturing pathways for emerging photovoltaic technologies.

He holds a Doctorate in Advanced Materials Engineering and is an EMBA candidate at Copenhagen Business School, combining scientific depth with a strong business perspective to support high-impact industrial outcomes.
