The partnership combines Thieme’s expertise in industrial printing systems and process development with GM Functionals’ experience in modular roll-to-roll machinery, automation, web handling, coating, converting, and system integration. Together, the companies aim to provide manufacturers with integrated production solutions that support the transition from process development and pilot production to reliable industrial-scale manufacturing.
As demand for scalable and flexible manufacturing solutions continues to grow, the collaboration enables customers to access production platforms that combine advanced printing technologies with robust roll-to-roll machinery and automation.
An initial focus of the collaboration is integrating Thieme’s industrial printing technologies, including the THIEME 6000 PE R2R Print Engine, into GM Functionals’ modular roll-to-roll platforms.
The combined solution enables customers to incorporate high-performance digital printing capabilities alongside coating, laminating, inspection, converting, and automation processes within a single production environment.
Thieme’s expertise in industrial printing applications complements GM Functionals’ extensive experience in handling and processing functional materials.
